ARGH!
I had a REALLY bad day. Last night before she left Joann said she hated working 5 or 6 hours because it's just too long. I really didn't want to work 6 hours either, much less open and work 6 hours. But I got to the store about 15 minutes before 10 and had a pretty good experience opening. Around 3 I got this feeling Joann would be late. 4 rolled around and she didn't show. 4:15 I called Jackie but she wasn't home. So I tried to call Joann but nobody answered. 4:30 Joann calls. One of her kids is sick and she's on her way home. She'll be at the store soon. 5 o'clock and i'm considering walking out. 5:15 the bitch gets there.
Now I dunno what doctor you're gonna take your kid to on a sunday. And It's just a little strange she had mentioned she hated working long hours. Hmm.
Bitch. If I didn't despise her before, I do now.
I found out that my friend Bambi is related to Joann, one of the two idiots I work with in the video department. Apparently she's Bambi's Aunt through marriage. Which means she's married to Bambi's crazy mom's brother. I wonder if he's crazy too. Anyway apparently Bambi, her sister and her husband all hate Joann with as much passion as I do. And they all agree she's an idiot.
It's nice to feel as if you're not alone =P
If you smoke pot this is for you. You may think that you are capable of acting as if you're straight but you can't. PLEASE do not go out in public unless you bust your head open and have to go to the ER. You are annoying. If you're asked a question it takes you 10 minutes to decide if it's a yes or no. WHY? And that fucking grin...seriously you look like an idiot. Just stop it.

My only friend type person at work is gone. She quit and went to Kmart. Suck.
So I have a new work story. Not really a story so much as another person added to the cast of characters. This kid (17, maybe?) with a dirty blonde afro and glasses was looking at some thing or another near the movie dept. He was trying to get his mom to buy something.
Mom: You won't even eat it.
Kid: C'mon, please!
Mom: *walks away*
Kid: Mom! Argh!
He was totally Napoleon Dynamite! If I had a fucking camera phone you guys would be falling over laughing. It was CRAZY surreal! I wonder if he's seen the movie. Would it be lost on him? I hope he's a regular...
I'm sure that once I get the extra hours and know what the hell I'm doing I'll appreciate opening. But for now I REALLY don't want to. I hate trying to understand my boss when she tells me what I'm supposed to do. I wish Jackie were training me. I'm tired of having instructions interrupted by "Oh did I tell you about the time..."
*bangs head*
At about 8pm a lady came in with her two (around) 15 year old daughters. They appeared to have just come from church. The woman asks me if we have the edited version of The Notebook. Now I haven't personally watched the notebook but I was fairly sure it wasn't rated R or anything. Not to mention I've never heard of edited movies...outside of TV of course. So I said I wasn't sure and walked over to our copy. I look at the back and see it's PG13 and rated so for sexual content. I told her we only have the regular PG13 copy and she said "Well I guess it'll be more difficult to find the edited version than I thought." Umm...yeah. Generally movies are only edited when you wtch them on TV so aside from recording it off your tv I dunno what to say. I asked my mom if the sexual content was justified and she said yes. Aparently part of the story involves this main girl losing her virginity. Now I wonder if the church lady even knew that.
I will never understand people like this? I agree with censorship in that you warn of the content so that parents can be with children when they see something possibly taboo. But I definately think that woman was out of her mind. I can only imagine how rebelious those girls will be in a few years. I've seen it happen, people. My cousin is a prime example. She wasn't allowed to have CDs with cussing in them or watch movies with sexual or violent content and now she's fairly uncontrollable. You are not saving your kids by sheltering them.
